The Story

This is the story of JC, a 7-year-old who dreams of treasure hunting and whose excitement inspired the making of a Super Bowl commercial.

JC is a smart, enthusiastic, and positive 7-year-old who loves treasure hunting and watching YouTube videos, especially those of his favorite YouTuber, Scuba Jake  @DALLMYD.

JC loves to be the center of attention, doesn't let others' opinions hold him back, and lives life to the fullest. His infectious energy and positive outlook inspired not just a Super Bowl commercial, but also those around him to be young at heart.

JC's teacher, Mrs. Giles, is an amazing educator who takes the time to get to know each of her students on a personal level. She is able to connect with JC on a deeper level, and her husband, Jonathan Giles, owner of incolr motion pictures was able to witness the impact JC had on his wife.

One evening, while Jonathan was working on a project with Scuba Jake and PTAP, he talked to Courtney about the creative block he was hit with this year's Super Bowl ad concept. The next day, Courtney excitedly told JC about her husband's work with Scuba Jake, and JC was beyond thrilled with this news.

Inspired by JC's excitement, Jonathan shared the story with Jason Gamache, owner of PTAP. They were both influenced by JC's dream and excitement and were reminded of the importance of staying young at heart.

After their yearly debate about whether or not they would do a Super Bowl ad, this conversation sparked the idea to create the ad for the Big Game that not only showcases their amazing work but also inspires others to follow their dreams. The idea continued to evolve into much more than just a Super Bowl ad.

They wanted to make JC's dream of meeting his hero, Scuba Jake @DALLMYD , and starting a YouTube channel come true. With less than two weeks to make this fairy tale a reality, they reached out to Scuba Jake and asked if he would be willing to be a part of the commercial and surprise JC. Jake was thrilled with the idea, and with JC's parents' permission, the stage was set.

The team worked tirelessly, day and night, to make JC's dream come true. Mrs. Giles came to set each time JC was there, and the way she interacts with JC and knows when he may be uncomfortable or needs something was a heartwarming interaction to witness. There were many memorable moments on set, from the magical moment when Scuba Jake surprised JC with a suitcase full of treasure to the moment when he presented JC with his very own treasure bag. It was clear that the PTAP Super Bowl ad was no ordinary commercial, but a strong reminder that with a positive mindset, dreams can come true.

JC's enthusiasm and his teacher's love and support made this fairy tale a reality. We are so grateful for teachers like Mrs. Giles, who are a gift to us all. JC's story reminds us that anything is possible if we stay young at heart and follow our dreams.

The PTAP Super Bowl ad was a testament to this and shows that fairy tales can come true.
